For fast, smooth application of Nicrobraz alloys, brazing filler metal powders, and other powdered materials.

Uniformity. Coating action with the system is uniform, regardless of the quantity of material in the hopper. Achieves a constant, adjustable alloy/binder ratio. There's no need to agitate or recirculate the liquid binder.
No waste. Valuable materials are conserved. No partially-used mixtures left over.
Fast change-over. Cleaning of the system takes only a few minutes (and is unnecessary if the type of binder is not changed).
Can be used intermittently. The system can stand idle for extended periods with no additional material or set-up time required when spraying is resumed.
Portability. The whole unit is easily moved, and it can be operated wherever there is a source of compressed air.

The Model N-5 has two powder hoppers. This allows you to:

Operate continuously (switching from one hopper to the other)
Operate at higher rates (both hoppers)
Switch between two different powders
Blend two materials.

The system differs from other spraying devices in that the dry powder and liquid are mixed after leaving the nozzle. Binder and powder rates can be controlled independently and up to 50 pounds per hour can be sprayed.

The liquid binder most suited for use with the NicroSpray System is Nicrobraz Cement 520. This specialized binder surrounds each powder particle and quickly dries on contact with the base-metal substrate. Tests should be conducted to determine the optimum system settings for each application.

The latest model uses a high-volume, low-pressure (HVLP) spray gun that improves transfer efficiency and dramatically reduces the amount of volatile organic chemicals (VOCs) that are released to the atmosphere.
